چکیده
Abstract Background Accurate prediction of postoperative pulmonary function is important for ensuring the safety patients undergoing radical resection lung cancer. Dynamic perfusion digital radiography an excellent and easy imaging method detecting blood flow in compared with less-convenient conventional scintigraphy. As such, present study aimed to confirm whether dynamic can be evaluated comparison scintigraphy predicting early complications. Methods spirometry were performed before 1 3 months after Correlation coefficients between ratios calculated using then confirmed same cases. In all who underwent radiography, correlation predicted values from ratio, measured examined. Furthermore, ppo%FEV1 or ppo%DLco values, which indicated risk perioperative complications, Results A total 52 participants satisfied inclusion criteria analyzed. Blood showed acceptable predictive accuracy. FEV1 obtained actual similar. All those spirometry. significant difference was observed respiratory complications but not cardiovascular Conclusions Our demonstrated that a suitable alternative given its ability it seemed modality because advantages, such as simplicity, low cost, ease obtaining in-depth functional information. Lung function and perfusion after bronchial and pulmonary arterial sleeve resection.
Between January 1985 and December 1991, six patients underwent arterial and bronchial sleeve resections of the left upper lobe. Preoperative and postoperative spirometry, preoperative split pulmonary radionuclide ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) scans and postoperative bronchoscopy were obtained in four patients. Postoperative serial digital vascular images (DVI) of the pulmonary artery were obtaine...

abstract background: esophageal anastomosis leaks continue to be a significant cause of morbidity and mortality after esophagectomy. the purpose of the present study was to identify the predisposing factors of esophageal anastomotic leakage. materials and methods: 95 patients who underwent surgical resection for esophageal or cardia cancer were included for the study. the mean age of the patien...
متن کاملPulmonary function and exercise capacity after lung resection.
The influence of pulmonary resection on functional capacity can be assessed in different ways. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of lobectomy and pneumonectomy on pulmonary function tests (PFT), exercise capacity and perception of symptoms. Sixty eight patients underwent functional assessment with PFT and exercise testing before (Preop), and 3 and 6 months after lung resection. In...
متن کاملDecrease in pulmonary function and oxygenation after lung resection
Respiratory deficits are common following curative intent lung cancer surgery and may reduce the patient's ability to be physically active. We evaluated the influence of surgery on pulmonary function, respiratory muscle strength and physical performance after lung resection. Pulmonary function, respiratory muscle strength (maximal inspiratory/expiratory pressure) and 6-min walk test (6MWT) were...
متن کاملAnalysis of the Results of Pulmonary Resection by Minimally Invasive Thoracoscopy for the Surgical Treatment of Lung Cancer
Introduction: Lung cancer is the disease of modern era, and the rate of lung cancer mortality is three times as high as that for prostate cancer and twice as high as the rate for breast cancer. We aimed to analyze the results of pulmonary resection in patients with NSCLC by minimally invasive thoracoscopy. Materials and Methods: We studied 10 patients with NSCLC scheduled for surgical resectio...
